What is GO?
GO is a taxi-hailing app that allows you to book taxis easily in many cities across Japan. It is especially useful when you need quick transportation or when public transport is not available.
How to Use GO
1. Download the app

2. Add your payment method
3. Tap “+ New Reservation” and select your pick-up location and destination. (You can check the estimated fare and arrival time before booking.)
4. Once your booking is confirmed, a confirmation number will be issued. Please show this number to the driver when you board the taxi.
Fare Information
・Taxi fares in Japan follow standard pricing rules. With the GO app, fares start at around ¥500–¥700 for the first 1–1.5 km, depending on the taxi company and region.
・After that, the fare increases by approximately ¥80–¥100 every 300–400 meters, or about ¥200–¥300 per kilometer.
・If traffic is heavy, a time-based fee may also be added in addition to the distance-based fare.
⚠️ Additionally, extra fees such as late-night surcharges (usually 10–20%, depending on the taxi company) and highway tolls (charged as actual costs, depending on the route) may apply.
